Project Guest Room

So I had a few days off and I thought I would start on my guest room and knock it out. However I am the one feeling sucker punched! The room was originally a neutral tan which you can see on the edges. Then I thought I would do the whole thing in light grey. Half way through light grey seeming like a great idea I though soot (dark grey) would be better. As I am at the paint store getting this color mixed the guy at the paint counter almost sent me running b/c he couldn’t believe I would paint a bedroom such a dark color. So, I held my ground and now have one wall done in the dark grey and love it! The fabrics at the bottom are the ones I will be making my headboard out of with some throw pillows and yes I said I would be making the headboard so I will post pics of how it turns out. Cross your fingers….what was I thinkin’!

It is hard to believe my little guy is turning one tomorrow! So, of course I had to take some pics of the kids to remember this special time. Wouldn’t you know Liam was throwing a fit during most of the shoot but I managed to snap a few of my man!

This past weekend my little guy was baptized on Mother’s Day! All of my children were baptized on Mother’s Day weekend so it always holds and extra special place in my heart. The church below is the Episcopal Church in Montell, Texas. This is the same church my husband, his dad, and grandfather were all baptized in so it means a lot that all of our children were baptized here!

My sweet mom agreed to help me entertain the kids while I did their pics today so I could have some Mother’s Day pics! My mom captured a few of my kids and me which are so fitting of our crazy life! I love my sweet babies!
