For the past five years we have gone down to Sabinal, Texas for the Wild Hog Festival to compete in the hog wrestling! Dub and Ross have won it three times and have officially retired but this year my best friend Becca and I were partners! We were in the women’s division and I swear the hog we got was from a heavier weight class because he was significantly larger than what the other women had to catch. You even heard the crowd cringe when they saw that thing come out of the shoot. Needless to say we caught the rather large hog and I would love to say we did it without a scratch but I ended up with a wopper on my leg that swole up about 3 inches off my skin and cut my leg open. I love the Gingrich family! Natalie is a good friend of my and I was flattered that she let me do Emory’s 6 month pictures! You might remember this family from this past summer. We did a family/maternity shoot last summer before the arrival of Miss Emory! I love these pics and the pick of Z jumping is one of my all-time favorites!

This Snedecor family is awesome because they did their photo shoot in a wind advisory… so to say the least it was a really windy shoot! Kelli and I had gone back and forth all day on whether we should reschedule the shoot but I think we were so excited about it since we had been trying to do one since before Christmas that we just went for it! I was super impressed by Scott as well because he was so laid back through the whole shoot! I love patient husbands! Colton and Kallyn are also the cutest things ever! Guys; this was a windy one but thanks for sticking it out and I hope you love the pictures!

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot Wilson’s Delivery pictures and it is hard to believe he is already a week old! I love these pictures! The Kelly’s are such an awesome family and I love getting to capture moments of their life!

The last few days have been so crazy but yesterday took the cake! My sister Julie has been in town and yesterday we had planned to do a photo shoot with my niece and nephew Kaylee and Tyler! I should have known that the day would not start off so well because Julie and I had stayed up till 1:30 the night before. So we got the kids all up and dressed and out the door by nine to head to Boerne to do the shoot. Wouldn’t you know as we pulled into Boerne it was raining. So we headed to Fredericksburg to kill some time and by the time we got back to Boerne it was lunch time and the kids were starving. We all had lunch and once we left the restaurant the weather was finally clearing but it was nap time. We decided to try to do the shoot because we didn’t have time to hall the kids back home and come all the way back out to Boerne proved to be an even worse idea. The kids lasted about 20 minutes and bless their hearts we called it a day! Now I am going to have to make a special trip to Alabama so we can get these kids photographed! Here are a couple that we snapped during the shoot!

Labor and Delivery: The Kelly Family

This was my first labor and delivery shoot and the only way to describe it is awesome! Not to mention the Kelly Family is one of the coolest families ever! Charlotte has become a good friend of mine and I think the world of her and Brian so it was so neat that they let me capture this really special day for them and for their oldest Catalina! I got to the hospital early in the morning and things progressed really slowly so Charlotte’s dad and I both said around 2:00 that we would head home and come back in a little while so she could catch a nap. Well wouldn’t you know that is when things go rolling. The doctor waited for me to turn around and get back before Charlotte started pushing and good thing because I think she literally pushed for 5 minutes. Seeing a person be brought into this world is one of the coolest things ever and I want to say thanks again for letting me be a part of it!

This was my first sibling shoot! It is a tradition for Ricky and Elma to do a shoot together to coincide with their senior shoots. This was such a fun shoot because these two grew up in Concan which is the little river town where we all spent every waking moment of summer growing up! They have these awesome cabins in Concan provided awesome locations for the shoot! You guys were so much fun and I hope you love the pics!
